Peu à peu, les représentations se codifient et donnent naissance à des corps de doctrine. On suit chez les Babyloniens, les Egyptiens, les Grecs, les Romains, les Arabes, les Hébreux, dans la tradition de l’Inde (sanskrit et tamoul), de la Chine et du Japon, la diversité des conceptualisations possibles.
